Launch of Key Institutional and Reform Documents of the Punjab Women Protection Authority On 19 December 2025
Dastak Society, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund and with support from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office through the AAWAZ II Programme, organized the launch of key institutional and reform documents of the Punjab Women Protection Authority, researched and developed by Dastak Society.
The event marked the formal inauguration of PWPA’s first Strategic Plan, Monitoring Framework for Women Protection Centres, and Communication Plan. Dastak Society developed both the Strategic Plan and the Monitoring Framework through two consultants Aliya Khan and Hafsa Omar. These documents represent a significant milestone in strengthening institutional mechanisms and enhancing the coordinated response to gender-based violence (GBV) across Punjab.
Held immediately after the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence concluded, the launch underscored a renewed commitment among stakeholders to ensure sustainable, integrated, and survivor-centred GBV service delivery throughout the province.

The launch was attended by nearly 150 participants representing various government departments, academia, the legal fraternity, the media, and civil society organizations.
