10 June 2022 – CIPP Report is a statistical and observational analysis of the child population that enters the prison system every year in the Punjab. The purpose of this report is to present a comprehensive picture of the condition of children in prison. The statistics on which this report is based are received from the Home Department every month by CRU. The analysis derived from these figures presents an accurate reflection of the trends in regard to the children in the criminal justice process including the overall population, offences, ages, length of sentences, and the extent to which standards applicable in the area of juvenile justice are observed.
