Recognizing that Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is an intrinsically human rights issue, Dastak adopts a rights-based and survivor-centered approach in the delivery of all its services to ensure the highest attainable standard of care towards survivors.
Dastak’s crisis management center provides essential services directed towards facilitating women, girls and children’s access to justice through necessary interventions to ensure their protection, care and rehabilitation. These services include:
Dastak’s team of experienced lawyers are equipped to provide litigation services and legal advice to women, girls and children in matters where their fundamental rights have been violated. This include civil matters (all cases of family law, effectiveness of divorce) as well criminal cases (sexual harassment, bail).
In an effort to build effective and competent human resource to provide services in areas of women and child protection, Dastak periodically offers trainings and exposure visit opportunities to practitioners, community workers and volunteers. It also accepts interns/apprentices on a rolling basis for a 4-6 week internship to gain hands-on experience. In addition, Dastak also runs public awareness programs from time to time to enhance knowledge on human rights and response services.
